I have always been around flowers in one way or the other. My Great Uncle owned a greenhouse and during the summer months I loved spending as much time there as I could.
But it was while studying business, at Colorado State University, when I was working as a delivery driver for a local floral shop that I would watch the designers and think, “I can do that!” So when I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business I knew that I working within the corporate business world was not for me. Instead I chose to attend floral design school in Phoenix, and it did not take me long to realize that floral design was my passion. Designing flowers is my blood; I believe a floral arrangement should look as if it was grown in its arranged state; natural, free, and beautiful.
While I owned and operated Louisville Florist I created a reputation for designing my customer’s vision into the perfect reality of their dreams, and as a designer it has always been my greatest joy to see a bride’s recognition of her vision in the bouquet that I created out of her life-long dream. July of 2017 I had the extreme pleasure of being in inducted into the American Institute of Floral Designers, AIFD. A organization that recognizes the best in floral designers.
